The trap door to that terrible, damp prison was somewhere in the great hall and had not been used since the mad old duke died. Carys knew nothing of her new husband and his home when she arrived as a new bride. She suspected he was a jealous suitor and soon learned he was a possessive husband. If asked, she would have said he loved her. In truth, he adored her.

She was not aware of the festering envy of a spiteful lady in waiting, nor of that lady’s plot to dispose of an enemy.

Lured to the hall by a message from her husband, Carys eagerly crossed the stone floor, stepped on the trap and fell into that ghastly pit. Slimy with moss, dank with rot, the dark doorway to hell contained the remains of those who came before. Carys cried out in horror and begged for her release. To no avail.

As the stone cover slid closed and the last breath of fresh air disappeared, Carys knew it would have been more merciful if the fall had killed her.

When the moon is full and its pale rays pierce the high mullioned windows of the great hall, they sometimes play on the stone floor in dancing patterns. The tortured soul below the stones is drawn to the light. One might see her gracefully cross the floor.

Before she falls for the thousandth time and suffers unspeakable death.....yet again, she pauses and softly calls his name.

She will spend eternity wondering at his betrayal.

This Medieval inspired costume combines shades of green and plum, chiffon, velvet and silk. First is an under gown, bodice and under sleeve of plum chiffon. Over that is a moss green netting. The over gown and over sleeves are a modified burn out velvet in shades of green and plum. All edges are finished either with glass beads, fine gilding or cord piping. The over bodice is moss green ribbed silk. Cording has been laced across her back and has been woven through her hair. She wears a jeweled medallion on a fine gold chain and hammered gold ear hoops. Her Chatelaine hangs from a chain at her hip and holds keys and a golden comb. She carries a hand dyed lawn and antique lace handkerchief. Green lace slippers and green net panties complete her costume.

Tyler Wentworth has been completely repainted. She has blue/green eyes, shadowed in soft browns, feathered dark brows, soft natural peach lips and facial blushing, new wig, applied lashes and a natural manicure and pedicure.
