Thank You!
- For The Lovely Things You Say -

Dear Cheryl, Maeve arrived safely here this afternoon and I can't tell you how thrilled I am to own her! She is so exquisitely done, from the tips of her toes to the crown on her head! Her face is almost ethereal and her wings are beyond belief; her garments flow as if wafting through the air and it almost seems difficult to keep her bound to the earth.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your magnificent creation; I will treasure her. She will always be the star of my collection!.....PK

Dear Cheryl, Today I have received Eugenie ...... OMG, she's the most wonderful doll that I have ever seen, I think she's your best girl, she's a DREAM, she's my dream.... Hello! I have to tell you, there are no words to describe the gift and talent you have in recreating these dolls. They are breathtaking. I have visited your site everyday for the last 10 days since I found it. I cannot believe the beauty you have by remaking the dolls themselves, the glorious fashions, and the poetry and fantasy you add to them. I am a person who loves fantasy, magick, magickal things, and special places. You create that and much much more......M

I just waned to say thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your passion with me.....I've been an avid fan of OOAK for about 3 years now and I've seen a lot.....but by far you are the only one that designs with your heart and soul, not just what you feel others would like. I appreciate all of the hard work you put into your dolls. I'm a historian buff and I can't get over how accurate and luxurious all of the gown and dresses are! I wish I could wear them myself. Have you ever thought of doing tributes to fairy tales or famous stories. I think that whatever genre you set your mind to you'll be fabulous at it. Thank you so much again. You are truly and utterly talented and I admire you very much! Your fan .....R in St. Louis

Ms. Crawford, You have a lovely site, and are extremely creative. Have enjoyed your article in Haute Doll so very much. It showcases your talent in such a refined and diginifed manner. Finally doll artists are being recognised in a manner as such other art forms are appreciated. Might I ask a question? On your site, you refer to you fairy wings as crystal wings. Could you tell me what material they are made of. So lovely, and more realistic than many I see. Appreciate you help, and many blessing to you and your. Thank you .....P

your dolls are beautiful each time I visit I am inspired to create another doll. I do have one question for you though where do you ever find such small fans for the barbie dolls. The feature i love most about your creations is that they actually look like people. And the detail amazes me. I am glad to have kept you on my computer these last 6 years and look forward to seeing many more creations by you . .....J

Good Morning madame, i'm a french young girl of 19 years old and i'm extremly keen on your dolls. it's beautiful work but i've many problems to decipher what's written on your Web site. i'd like to ask you a few questions : Are these dolls the fruit of your art? Do you do these dolls by your own? How is that possible to do dolls so beautiful as a particular producer? when i was a little i was passionated by Elisabeth Empress of Austria, i've been raised looking at the movie Sissi with Romy Schneider, i've read all french books about her, she 's fascionnating. Your doll is fabulous ! Is that possible to buy her? how can i do to get it? or is that possible to order it? do you know if there are exhibitions of your dolls in France? Have you ever done a Scarlett O'Hara? (from Gone with the wind) i thank you so much for this moment of pleasure you gave me when i visited your web site, a a quiet little spot of heaven ! i'm expecting for your answer, Good Bye,.....JR

I love and admire your creations. They are truly one of a kind. I've never seen such designs like yours before. Your creations give me inspiration to write stories about. For example your Sisters of the Sea Series, I love. I have half the story already written down, just from viewing the pictures. Your creations and designs are truly inspirational. Sincerely,.....RF

Hello. I came from Poland. Your dolls are fabulous, amazing... I can't find words to say how beautiful they are... I wanna say you how big talent you have making that dolls... Best wishes... A

Hello, Your version of Christine was amazing! I absolutely loved it! I was wondering if you were going to try to do more costumes from there b/c I'd definately love to see more. Thank you very much for taking time and reading this short e-mail. Good-bye! .....R

Hello! I've been visiting your website over and over again for quite awhile. I'm a costume/fashion designer (for lack of a more humbling title- I do hate the term!) Your dolls are such an inspiration to me. Your designs are just so beautiful, and they always make me want to work on custom dolls... I've tried twice, but the first time I became distraught by too much of Barbie's rooted hair, and the next (I thinned it out to be acceptable), I decided I liked her costume so much that I wanted it for myself. =) So... I think that until I can't be the doll anymore, I probably won't get into customizing my own. I'll just look at yours instead. =) But maybe one day, I'll actually get around to finishing the one I started! I've always dreamed of going around the world and being an apprentice to learn certain skills - such as tsumami-/bira-bira-kanzashi in Japan and enamelling in India... And I wish that I could be your apprentice for dolls. =) Anywho! Sorry for making this so long, I've just been building up all these things I've wanted to tell you for a long time. Maybe someday I'll be able to commission a doll from you, and then make a life-size version of her costume! That would be neat... Oh! Please visit my website, BTW. (The link is below my signature.) I would love to add you to my links, if it's alright. Okay, I'll hush now. =) Thanks again!.....E

All I can say is WOW!! Your work is absolutely phenomenal and truly a work of art! . The detail and faithfulness to the original design is simply exquisite. I consider it an honor and a great pleasure to be able to work with the best miniature costume designer! I will most certainly include your images in my website, and I thank you for allowing me to do so. I appreciate your kindness, Cheryl! Again, thank you! I wish you continued success in your work, and I will always watch your website for your future creations!...N

Wonderful Cheryl, The haunting music, the stunning yet ethereal vision you've conjured up in Eva just takes us further into your talent. What a great choice at this time of year. Leave it to you to create a Holiday Themed doll that not only takes us away from the usual brightly colored fare, but it leaves us with a touch of nostalgia and wistfulness. It's a great thing when an artist can 'touch' you with their work. That first picture of Eva with the strategic lighting is the one that gets it all started, then that music! - whew... Reminds me of looking at those old reel type movies of love lost and sacrifices made all in the name of it. BRAVO my friend.....J

Hi Cheryl, I saw Arwen and Aragorn...and they are absolutely gorgeous. I almost thought it was Viggo Mortensen and Liv Tyler standing there from the movie. Your costumes look like they just stepped off the screen! .....A

Hi Cheryl Your dolls are absolutely awesome. But then they always are so detailed, with the soft hues and delicate fabric, as you were told, "ROMANTIC". They stand out from all the others that need to add mega tons of jewelry findings to make the doll look OOAK. They are nice, dont get me wrong, but I still prefer the more realistic look on the dolls. I always enjoy looking at your dolls and drool over them, as I have no money to make a purchase. Hugs.....M

WOW, Cheryl, they are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! They look like miniatures of the real costumes (and persons). Arwen may be the queen of Middle Earth but you are the queen of costuming fashion dolls! .....D

Oh...he's wonderful! ....but of course I knew he would be... LOL I love all the handsewing you do... and the scale of your fabric trims...but the accessories always knock me out! ( and I'll never forget that magnificent Regency man you did for the Gene convention!) it's always a treat to see your work!.....BJ

Cheryl....you are by far my favorite Artist... Your dolls are so inspiring to me.......I have yet to find my style, but your dolls are everything I want mine to be! They scream Passion, Love and style....they really provoke a rush of feelings for me when I look at them..I hope I can eventually bring that to my dolls... Your mask, is gorgeous...do you put the material over a metal mesh or cardboard? Any how...great job..I am going to your site now to browse.....AK

Cheryl, You have done it again with your Anne Boleyn. She is magnificent!!!! She is just as I have imagined her to have been, not solemn as in her portraits, but with a hint of mischief and great intelligence alive in those eyes! A lady much maligned and caught in a trap of circumstance she was. Thank you for interpreting her. I look forward to your interpretation of her daughter Gloriana someday. Brava!!! (stands and applauds in your direction) .....GC

Hello, I just wanted you to know that I never have seen such a beautifull OOAK's as yours. I was on the American Ebay and saw an angel of you and went to your site, my mouth fell open ( a dutch expression?)especially the fantasy page is really.......don't know how to tell you but..... GREAT!!!!! Never seen such a fine painting on their faces as yours and what a gorgious dresses they wear. Never been interrested in OOAK's but you opened a new world. I hope you will enjoy this art for a lifetime!!!!! Greetings .....S from Holland

Dear Cheryl, as always your work is breathtaking. Your interpretation of Arwen is spot on. I always look forward to seeing your work and visit your home page often hoping for updates. Brava!..... Z

Hi Cheryl, I just went poking around your beautiful website again and wow, I couldn't believe it! Angelique! I read all those books so many times, back in high school. Your Angelique looks just like I always pictured her, with her captivating emerald eyes. What a lovely vision she is, so perfectly done. Thanks for reminding me of those stories and how much I loved them. I'd love to see the Sultan or the love of her life, dashing Geoffrey. Or how about when they came to the New World? Oh, I just may have to find those books and read them all again! .....LM

I love your site and I must say your dolls are real masterpieces! I am interested of your Barbie Make overs, and especially the fabulous costumes you have made. I am not crazy about the ooak dolls I see normally, but your are something very different. I have a small collection of differnent type of dolls, and the only rule I have, is that each of them must be in my own taste; I will build up my collection which consists of vintage dolls and contemporary ones, all chosen carefully by myself; I am dreaming of to put up a shop or show room in Monaco, so I want to have contact with the best doll sellers or doll makers in US. I hope to add one of your Barbies one day! Best regards.....M

Hi. I just had to email you and tell you how in awe I am of your exquisite dolls. They are remarkable! You have so much talent! I just saw your current ebay auction which is also amazing, and from there I visited your website. I recall seeing two of your dolls on ebay before and was also captivated by them. I was so glad to be able to view your other truly creative works. I would love to be able to do a Barbie OOAK for myself, but I have yet to attempt it. I just don't know how you part with your works of art. I know I couldn't! Have you been customizing for a long time? How long do you spend on your creations? I just had to ask. Also, do you design clothing? Do you paint or do other artwork? You should be a famous fashion designer or costume designer or both! Anyways, I just had to tell you my thoughts. I am so impressed! Sincerely.....SB

Cheryl, She is absolutely gorgeous and I LOVE the story behind her also!!! What a perfect pair you have made!..... C in IN

Cheryl, I've got to tell you I spent the last hour and a half lost in your creations and their tales. What a wonderful gift you have!!!!

Thank you for sharing it..... S

I really don't have a question, but just wanted to tell you how beautiful I think your dolls are. Of all the OOAK dolls I have looked at, yours are the most creative, original and unique OOAK's that I have seen. Your stories that go with them are very interesting as well. Do you write the stories? Have you written a book? If you haven't, you should. Your stories pull you in , but still leave me wanting to hear more of the tale. With the doll the stories become spell binding. Thanks for listening and keep creating these wonderful dolls. I wish I could afford one..... J

I must compliment you. Even with the teeny picture eBay gives in the "Browse" section, I had to look twice at "Allegra" to see that she was, indeed, a "Barbie" and not a porcelain doll. So, of course,I had to look at the auction. And I can't tell which is better: your dressmaking skills or your painting skills. I can instantly date that dress as being from between 1872-1874, and the face *still* looks as tho' it could be porcelain. An incredibly beautiful doll. .... S

I must say, Cheryl, every single time I see a new doll of yours, I am blown away. Your work is so beautiful, it's unbelievable! You are by far one of the best doll artists I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. Keep up the good work. .... K

Cheryl I Received Carina today and she is beyond words! But I'll try! Fabulous.. tremendous.. remarkable.. stunning.. stupendous! Breathtaking! I am in awe of your work. She will hold a special place in my home. She is so much better in person. The hand of the fabric is so soft and silky. I just can't believe she is mine! Thank you so very very much!..... N

She makes the third one of your beauties I have the pleasure to display in my collection. Your talent in so many areas is amazing. As always...I will treasure her..... F

Cheryl,
You have such an awe inspiring talent. I always look forward to seeing what vision in lovely fabrics ...you create. Arwen is lovely. BRAVO...my friend...BRAVO.... A

I am in Awe of your creation!! She is beautiful!!.... R

You have the most wonderful site...I am constantly checking back to see if you have added new dolls!! I really like how it is set up, and love how you added visual effects and music!.... S

I don't have a question really...just a comment...Wow! What a beautiful presentation. If I could, I'd bid on her. I thoroughly enjoyed the music and the story. The doll is gorgeous and the dress magnificent. Thank you for a few moments entertainment! I'm sitting here with the flu, feeling sorry for myself and that really lifted my spirits.

I just stumbled onto your site and had to write and tell you how much I enjoyed it. All your dolls and their costumes are exquisite, I'm quite breathless! Thank-you for sharing and keep up the good work!.... J

Your costuming is unsurpassed by any other anywhere. You are a Treasure! Excellent once again!.... C

Hi, being a creative person myself, I must say your attention to detail is amazing. Also I am a helpless romantic and I really got into the characters of your page. Each one was unique but all were absolutely gorgeous! Keep up the good work .... C

I have to keep looking (& looking, & looking) at your gorgeous creations!!!! Thank-you for putting out some of the nicest repaints/redress out there to inspire the rest of us!

Hello Cheryl, I am very content that you agree to make this exchange of links with me. I believe that your site and your dolls are more makes a success of all the other websites that I’’ have looked at. The dolls are splendid: paintings of the faces very fine and gracious, and also hairstyles; clothing is very well carried out and full with charming meticulous details. They are certainly most beautiful which I have looked, the quality of work and the beauty without exaggerating too much. Your website is very beautiful also, the pictures are of good quality, the interesting topics, and the original presentation even if I have not yet very not read (it is necessary that I translate them!!) Therefore, I am in admiration in front of your work, and I hope, one day, to arrive at this quality. I hope how I do not make you redden, I am really under the charm and that encourage me to be continued! .... C

Hi - I just got through visiting your "Manor" and all the exquisite creatures that live there.... I can NOT believe that this is the first time I have ever seen any of your creations! I am absolutely awe-struck. I have look at a lot of wonderful dolls oneBay and elsewhere. THESE ARE BY FAR THE VERY BEST.... M

Hello Cheryl, I am always in awe every time I look at your dolls, and I never tire of it.... D

I couldn't stop myself from writing to say how very VERY beautiful this doll(and story!) is. Bravo! I think it's wonderful and am putting you on my favorite sellers list. Hehehe, maybe someday I'll be able to afford one!.... M

She is simply glorious. Your attention to detail is un-matched. Each time I look at her I see something new. She will be the brightest star in my collection.... B

Until one sees them in person, one can only see part of their beauty. The camera cannot capture it all. I am thrilled. Thank you Cheryl.... J

I just wanted to tell you that I think your work is fantastic. I've visited your website too, and I could spend hours there just looking and gasping over how incredible your creations are. You truly are an artist. .... K - Denmark
