Falene stood at the edge of the ballroom and watched the whirling kaleidoscope of dancers. On this one night each year, Wicca, Fae, Elf, Undead, Unworldly and any and all manner of denizens from the Other Worlds could come together for the Witch's Ball.
She was here as her true self and relished the chance to mingle. Only a rare few could share a special other life and she was one.
Her mistress was a great weaver of spells. She held each mortal in her world under a spell and as her companion, Falene was the most pampered of cats. She lived in the rarified world of her mistress and rarely missed her Fae life... yet she always looked forward to this night .
Falene wondered if she would be missed. This part of her life was a secret, but she somehow thought her mistress would be delighted to know her dear companion cat was in reality, a faery in feline form.
A tall, elegant gentleman in Plum satin and shapely breeches bowed in askance for her hand in a Waltz. They circled the floor and Falene closed her eyes. She could see her mistress, curled up in her princess bed among her stuffed animals. Her soft toddler’s breath gently stirring the air.
As she was skillfully guided out on to a terrace, Felene smiled.
She would happily return to her other life and that dear, small mortal child......soon.

This elegant gown of silk and a patterned acetate is in three parts. The under dress is black glistenette. Over that and of the same shape with a longer train is a tissue thin salmon silk chiffon edged in champaign glitter. The over gown was created from panels. Each was individually gilded along the edges and then assembled using black and amber glass beads. The panels were then attached to the neckline of the under gown and black lace trim. The effect is quite amazing and the completed gown falls gracefully to the floor where the hem of both gowns form a train. Were she to move, the salmon silk would gently flutter about her. The lower sleeves are laced over the arms and form a point over the wrist. Delicate golden thread and black glass beads are woven across her upper arms. Her necklace and earrings were created using black and copper wire, glass beads and glitter drops. Her temple ornaments frame her “Fae” ears. She carries a gilded all leather mask on an embellished pole. The mask actually fits and can easily be removed from the pole and is lined in flesh colored leather. Dainty black slippers and black panties complete the costume.

Her wired, double crystal wings are singed and glittered and may be slightly posed. They are permanently attached to her back.

A Shimmer Sydney Chase on a bending wrist body - has been completely repainted. She has green "cat" eyes, shadowed in soft grays, feathered black brows, soft natural peach lips and facial blushing, applied lashes, new wig and a natural manicure and pedicure.
