The spirits of the air and earth meet in this place. It is between worlds, mystical, eternal and it belongs to her. None dare trespass here uninvited.

The dew tickles her toes and verdant scents tease her nose as she waits. They say he comes to the pool each evening at moon rise and remains till dew fall. They say he has done so for a fortnight. It is uncommon for a mortal to find the glade, much less intrude upon the sacred ground. It falls to her. He must be stopped before he does harm.

She is a creature caught between spirit and flesh. Her garb of nutmeg brown and turquoise reflects earth and sky. The beautiful blue color of the turquoise stones she wears was born of the ether surrounding the earth, which is the giver of life and breath. They are her talismans. She fingers her necklace once again. Though she has searched high and low, the absent stone tugs at her spirit. She feels incomplete and longs to find that small missing part of herself.

Her copper tresses lift and stir in the gentle breeze as she draws a deep breath. The Siren chooses the time carefully. With barely a whisper of sound her shadow falls across his. At the moment he jumps to his feet she darts to the edge of the path and begins to sing,

It is said her song is so sweet that any mortal will forget everything, begin to follow, and without the ability to control himself, will eventually collapse and die of exhaustion from his pursuit.

She pauses in the clearing, breathless and confused. He is but a few strides behind her and, though winded, he still follows. Carina gazes in amazement as he approaches. In his hand is the missing stone. Trembling in disbelief she stands, rooted to the ground as he gently lifts her hand and places the stone in her palm. He remains motionless, breathing deeply, eyes locked to hers. Then he smiles.

Much lore surrounds the “duklij” or blue stone. Some hold that a piece on the arrow will guide it to the mark. Others say a piece of this skystone, thrown into a river while praying to the rain god, will cause rain. Some believe pieces placed in door lintels will guard against evil spirits and it has been thought to warn the wearer of danger.

Carina knows the true power of the stone. She reveres it for its balancing and healing energies. She knows it to be a profound protector. And, if the fates allow, it will attract a lover and is said to act as a unifying force between the Spirit of the Air and the Spirit of the Earth. Between Fey and Mortal.

The Costume - is a three tiered gypsy skirt. The top tier is a very soft chocolate velvet. The second tier is taffeta and the lower tier is a layer of chocolate chiffon lined with turquoise chiffon. The lower tier is gathered on the sides and at center front with turquoise silk ribbon and glittery silk roses and flower petals. Each tier is separated by twisted cording, tiny glass beads and golden spangles. She wears a laced copper satin charmeuse corset. The corset has been hand painted with bronze, copper and turquoise and is trimmed with gold foil braid, tiny cording and beads. The chocolate velvet arm bands are laced and trimmed with silk ribbon, "turquoise" drops, gold and amber glass beads and tiny cording. A hand crafted knife and small leather bag hangs on one side of her waist, while the other has a swag of golden coins and "turquoise" drops. Her shoes match the gown. Her wired triple crystal wings are tattered and glittered and may be posed as desired. She wears a necklace and earrings of golden chain, hand crafted "turquoise" drops with copper matrix and bronze silk roses and a spangle charm bracelet. Her golden hair ornament has a golden spangles and "turquoise" drops.

Carina's costume was completely hand sewn from original, artist designed patterns and is not removable.

Tyler as Carina - has been completely repainted. She has earthy green eyes shadowed in soft charcoal, feathered russet brows, beautifully shaded coral lips, a small beauty mark on her upper lip, enhanced and painted breasts, decorative, hand painted floral brow and breast designs, a French manicure and pedicure, braided and curled red hair and carefully trimmed applied lashes.
